The date of the foundation of Kaunas Benedictine convent
<p style="text-align: justify;">The historiography states without doubt that Kaunas Benedictine convent at St. Nicholas’ church was funded by Andriejus Skorulskis, Kaunas county marshal and Skaruliai estate owner, though it is not clear when. The newest historical data allows the presumption that Kaunas Benedictine convent was officially founded on 28 November 1624. At first the sisters used the wooden Virgin Mary Revelation church for their needs and after 1627 they moved to the church of St. Nicholas.</p>
