The residential house on Elena Baronienė and Petras Vysockis’ land was designed in 1932 by architect Bronius Elsbergas. The house is three stories high, includes an attic and a basement, connected by two staircases. Each floor of the house has a large apartment with its rooms being arranged around the central hallway. During the construction, the Construction Division of Kaunas City Municipality received an amended draft which also proposed setting up windows in the attic. The basement incorporated warehouses, a janitor room with a kitchen and a garage under the first floor terrain. The construction was carried out using two types of burnt bricks, whereas the decor was done using clinker bricks which were later often used by V. Landsbergis-Žemkalnis in the designs of individual houses. The house has an asymmetrical shape, the planes comprising the foundation of the facades are connected, in a symbolical way, with the horizontal rows of windows and vertical staircase windows by architect’s favourite element – double strips. Even though the building stood out of surrounding one- or two-story villas in the newly established Žaliakalnis region thanks to its height and size, it was not obvious due to being built on the corner plot.
